As many of you already know, on 23rd June ESLI hosted a seminar at the European Parliament in Brussels in which we discussed with parliamentarians the achievements and results of the International conference on Welfare for Victims of Nazism. Following on from the success of this initial seminar, ESLI is currently in the process of finalising arrangements for a second seminary to again be held at the European Parliament in Brussels, this time in October 2015. This event will seek to encourage further discussion of the topics covered at the previous seminar whilst simultaneously imparting to members of major EU institutions the importance of ensuring adequate funding is available for organisations engaged in the provision of welfare services for Holocaust survivors and other victims of Nazi persecution. This seminar will again be attended by Members of the European Parliament, along with representatives from the European Commission, diplomatic representations, civil society organisations, and other distinguished guests.
